About the role

  • Sourcing Manager at Amex GBT guiding clients through venue and meeting sourcing process. Leading logistics, negotiations, and client relationships for successful program execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client calls to review and understand their meeting needs
  • Negotiate pricing and other package details with suppliers
  • Conduct RFPs with hotels and suppliers to secure room blocks
  • Maintain accurate records and files, collaborate with accounting to supervise billing, expenses, and savings negotiations
  • Evaluate and supervise program impact and outcomes
  • Develop positive relationships with client team members, suppliers, and support departments
  • Promote a positive team environment and assist with onboarding of new colleagues as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years in meeting management, hotel procurement or equivalent
  • Proven skills for contract negotiations
  • Experience with handling large scale events
  • Cvent experience strongly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of domestic destinations (international a plus)
  • Proficiency in technology skills
  • Excellent listening skills and passion for learning
  • Proactive in understanding client needs and enacting change with a consultative approach
  • Available to travel 2-3 times per year for industry or client meetings
