About the role
- IT Infrastructure Engineer responsible for managing and enhancing IT infrastructure for a key client. Working in a hybrid model, focusing on Windows and Linux administration, networking, and automation.
Responsibilities
- As the central point of contact at the client, you take responsibility for the core of the IT infrastructure.
- System Administration (hybrid): You are the specialist for the Windows and Linux server landscapes (operation, hardening, maintenance) and administer Windows clients as well as Linux systems for applications.
- Network & Security: You design and operate networks (Dell OS10 switches: VLAN, routing, LACP) and manage SonicWall firewalls (VPN, rule-set optimization, firmware).
- Automation: You enjoy automating manual processes with PowerShell, Bash and/or Ansible to increase efficiency.
- Cloud & Projects: You actively support exciting Microsoft technology projects (M365, Entra ID / Azure AD, Defender/Sentinel, Azure networking services).
Requirements
- Solid experience in both Windows AND Linux administration (operation, hardening, package management).
- Strong knowledge of network management (ideally with Dell switches) and experience working with firewalls (e.g., SonicWall).
- Experience in automation with common scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash or Ansible).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies (M365, Entra ID, Azure).
- A proactive, solution-oriented working style and the ability to drive initiatives independently.
- Nice-to-haves (bonus points): Experience building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
- Programming skills in Python or C# for tooling development.
- Basic experience operating Elasticsearch clusters.
