About the role

• Senior Software Tester responsible for application reliability and performance across various projects. Involved in quality assurance, test automation, and collaborating with development teams.

Responsibilities

• We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Software Tester with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and test automation.** The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of applications developed within Country Intelligence, Site Intelligence, and ALLuminosity initiatives.** This role involves manual and automated testing of web applications built on Node.js, Java Spring Boot, Python/PySpark, Azure SQL, Databricks with a focus on validating RESTful APIs and data pipelines, debugging issues, and collaborating closely with developers and business teams to deliver defect-free solutions.

Requirements

• **Test Planning**
• · Design comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data to validate new features and integrations.
• **Functional & Regression Testing**
• · Conduct manual and automated testing across multiple modules to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• **API Testing**
• · Validate REST APIs for performance, reliability, and data accuracy using tools like Postman or Swagger
• **Database Validation**
• · Perform backend verification and data integrity testing using **Azure SQL **and** Databricks**
• **Defect Tracking & Debugging**
• · Identify, log, and track software defects in Jira or similar tools; collaborate with developers for root cause analysis.
• **Documentation**
• · Maintain detailed test documentation, traceability matrices, and release validation reports.
• **Education Requirements and Qualifications**
• **Qualifications **
• · **Educational Background:** BE, B.Tech, MCA, MSc in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.
• · **Experience:** 5–8 years in software testing (manual and automation).
• · **Technical Expertise:** Functional, Regression, API, Data Integration, and Database testing.
• · **Tools & Technologies:** Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, Azure SQL, Databricks, REST APIs,
• · **Knowledge of:** SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and defect management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
• · Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• · Experience testing full-stack applications involving **Node.js**, **Java Spring Boot**,** Python,** **Azure SQL, Databricks w/ PySpark** preferred.
