About the role

  • Accountant managing financial operations at Allegro. Contributing to stability and transparency of financial processes in a dynamic environment in Poznań.

Responsibilities

  • Managing bank statements - posting and reconciliation.
  • Reconciliation of data from analytical reports and subledger with postings in the general ledger.
  • General ledger postings - preparation and posting of journals.
  • Preparation of documents/files to confirm the correctness of the balances and P&L amounts.
  • Participation in the month-closing process.
  • Evidence of purchases invoices regarding company's assets.
  • Entering fixed assets/intangible assets into the accounting records.
  • Reconciliation of fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the business unit general ledgers.
  • Evidence of asset capitalization, asset depreciation and retirement.
  • Record of disposal and movement of assets.
  • Preparation of data for reporting purposes and audits.
  • Interaction with external and internal auditors.
  • Verification of bookkeeping in terms of tax regulations.
  • Cooperation with internal departments in the whole group (work in international environment).
  • Support of Senior Specialists/Manager on a daily tasks.
  • Support of Senior Specialists/Manager in preparation of tax returns and the financial statements.
  • Provide periodic and ad hoc reporting for higher level personnel or for project purposes.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding and practical application of accounting rules.
  • Knowledge of SAP system (navigation) and proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace.
  • High level of accuracy in processing financial data.
  • University degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Finance Department or an outsourcing company is considered a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in Polish (C1) and English (B2) is required.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Ownership, reliability, and excellent cooperation skills.
