About the role

  • Procurement Specialist optimizing indirect goods and services purchasing for Alcoa Canada smelters. Collaborating across teams and conducting market analyses to drive efficiency in procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and control activities related to the procurement of indirect goods and services.
  • Collaborate with local, regional, and global teammates and with the various departments involved in the procurement process.
  • Act as a point of contact for commodity suppliers and internal stakeholders at all stages of the process.
  • Build trusted relationships with suppliers of goods and services.
  • Conduct customer service follow-ups to ensure process efficiency.
  • Lead or participate in various meetings and produce appropriate reports and follow-ups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced knowledge of Excel and Outlook).
  • Project management skills and knowledge.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality.
