About the role

  • Field Service Engineer working at client laboratories to install and maintain atomic spectroscopy products. Requires a chemistry degree and significant analytical techniques experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install and optimize equipment and hardware configurations at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance issues.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by informing customers about preventive maintenance activities and configurations that may affect product performance.
  • Proactively address potential equipment issues to prevent unexpected interruptions to the customer's operations.
  • Implement and validate customer analytical methods.
  • Train other field engineers and customers/users on solutions (classroom or on-site).

Requirements

  • University degree in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Measurements, etc.) or a related field
  • Significant experience with analytical techniques/methods in atomic spectroscopy (ICP-OES, ICP-MS, UV...)
  • Experience in a similar role in technical support OR as a user/operator of these products
  • Good oral and written English skills
