About the role

  • Join AES as an Analyst in Operational Technology supporting renewable energy assets across the US. Troubleshoot systems for monitoring and controlling power generation at utility-scale sites.

Responsibilities

  • Support the systems that enable real-time monitoring and control of energy assets (SCADA, Energy Management Systems, telemetry, and site communications)
  • Troubleshoot issues impacting visibility, control, and data flow across hundreds of distributed sites
  • Assist in restoring operations during outages and degraded system conditions
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Support device-level communications (relays, inverters, meters, RTACs, etc.)
  • Perform root cause analysis across network connectivity issues, SCADA/data gaps, device communication failures
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical infrastructure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on / military experience
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (site visits across renewable energy assets)
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card
  • Ability to work in field environments requiring PPE
