About the role

  • Service Engineer responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of power electronics systems in renewable and industrial applications. Engaging in customer training and documentation of technical processes.

Responsibilities

  • Global deployment for maintenance and repair of electrotechnical and electronic components, systems and installations such as power converter units including battery systems
  • Investigation of complex power converter units on-site, in test and trial fields as part of customer complaint handling
  • Training and instruction of operating personnel for the respective systems
  • Communicating product information to customers
  • Supervising and instructing subordinate technical staff on the construction site
  • Performing installation inspections of customer-performed installations
  • Commissioning of new devices and systems at customer sites
  • Documenting performed work and the condition of the device or system, including creating customer-specific reports (SAT, WKP)
  • Inspecting customer devices and systems, including preparing a list of defects and a maintenance plan according to the service life achieved by the device/system
  • Creating technical documentation on procedures used for fault analysis
  • Adapting test routines and programs
  • Developing modification concepts and circuit diagrams
  • Defining required measurement points, test equipment and protocols for KTA-related seismic and EMC tests

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. (FH) or equivalent)
  • Experience in power supply systems and project planning
  • Knowledge of our products is an advantage
  • Familiarity with relevant DIN VDE standards, TAB and UVV is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel is required
  • Goal-oriented, structured and resilient, especially in communication with customers
  • Commitment and confident demeanor with solid problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English
