About the role

  • Service Engineer maintaining and repairing electrical and electronic systems across industries. Involves training staff and ensuring proper operation of systems for clients in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Worldwide deployment for maintenance and repair of electrotechnical and electronic components, systems and installations such as power converter units, including battery systems
  • Investigation of complex power converter units at customer sites, test and trial fields as part of handling customer complaints
  • Training and instruction of the operating personnel for the respective systems
  • Providing product information to customers
  • Guiding and instructing technically subordinate staff on site
  • Carrying out installation inspections of site-installed equipment
  • Commissioning of new equipment and systems at customer sites
  • Documenting performed activities and the condition of the device or system, including preparation of customer-specific protocols (SAT, WKP)
  • Inspection of customer devices and systems, including preparation of a defect list and a maintenance plan according to the service life reached by the device/system
  • Creation of technical documentation on the procedure for fault analysis
  • Adapting test routines and programs
  • Preparing retrofit/conversion concepts and circuit diagrams
  • Determining the necessary measuring points, test equipment and protocols for KTA-required seismic and EMC tests

Requirements

  • Degree: Dipl.-Ing. (FH) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in power supply and project planning/engineering
  • Knowledge of our products is an advantage
  • Familiarity with relevant DIN VDE standards, TAB and UVV regulations is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel is required
  • Goal-oriented, structured and stress-resistant, especially in communication with customers
  • Commitment and a confident demeanor with solid problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
