About the role

  • Field Application Engineer for nuclear power plants with AEG Power Solutions. Responsible for customer requirements and product suitability assessments in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving customer requirements
  • Reviewing our products for suitability and applicability
  • Advising customers and, where necessary, consulting with other departments
  • Adjusting prices in coordination with the responsible Account Manager
  • Coordinating schedules and delivery times with the relevant departments
  • Preparing specification and proposal documentation and monitoring deadlines
  • Following up on proposals and processing order awards in consultation with the responsible Account Manager
  • Reviewing orders from both technical and commercial perspectives
  • Forwarding orders to Project and Order Management or entering customer-specific purchase orders
  • Tracking order processing and delivery schedules; developing alternative schedule solutions in case of deviations
  • Handling customer claims for additional services or demands
  • Organizing and conducting customer acceptance tests (FAT) when required
  • Participating in customer acquisition activities and project meetings
  • Staffing exhibition booth duties at events with AEG presence
  • Preparing appropriate materials to support Account Managers
  • Managing specific product groups and maintaining up-to-date documentation
  • Providing commercial and technical sales support

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. (FH) or equivalent from a University of Applied Sciences)
  • Experience in a relevant industry, preferably including commercial experience
  • Knowledge of products, applications and solutions for industrial power/energy systems
  • Basic knowledge of contract law is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Visio and SAP
  • Fluent German and English language skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Genuine team player
  • Effective time-management skills
