About the role

Responsibilities
- Greet customers by phone and in person at the funeral home/shop.
- Welcome families and organize funerals.
- Sell funeral products and services (prepaid funeral plans, monuments/headstones, memorial items, flowers, etc.).
- Prepare estimates, place orders and issue customer invoices.
- Manage payments (deposits and final balances) and handle basic bookkeeping.
- Monitor files from order through to payment.
- Maintain and keep the funeral home/shop and adjoining premises clean and orderly.
- Manage site inventory.
- Contribute to the development and growth of the local branch.
- Handle administrative procedures related to deaths.
- Ensure the proper presentation and dignity of the deceased.
- Ensure compliance with professional guidelines and operating procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the funeral services sector and/or certification as a Funeral Advisor.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong listening ability.
- Comfortable in client-facing situations and able to reassure and support grieving families.
- Good aptitude for computer tools and software.
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
