About the role

  • Lead Level Designer in charge of level design for a new IP at Activision. Collaborate with creative teams to craft engaging gameplay environments and ensure quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing members of the Level Design team to meet project objectives, quality standards, and production milestones
  • Setting clear goals and performance expectations aligned with the broader project vision
  • Collaborate with design leadership, artists, crafting unique spaces
  • Designing, prototyping, implementing and polishing in-game spaces and content
  • Providing constructive feedback on others’ work
  • Acting as a liaison to other departments
  • Providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance management for level designers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a professional Level Designer
  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, set priorities, and deliver against defined production timelines
  • Experience with technical game design
  • Understanding and Execution of the fundamentals of Open World Level Design in modern game engines
  • Strong organizational skills and a proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to provide clear, actionable feedback and support team growth and development
  • Experience pitching level design concepts in a clear, detailed manner
