About the role

  • Product Designer on ActiveCampaign's Platform Team, creating AI-native user experiences and defining interactive design models. Collaborating to ensure innovation and effective design across marketing platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design with AI as a first principle, identifying where automation and intelligent defaults can eliminate friction and creating seamless, AI-native user journeys.
  • Act as the go-to expert for customer needs, engaging directly with stakeholders and users to conduct research, validate ideas, and turn raw insights into high-impact designs.
  • Own the end-to-end design process, from early-stage exploration and whiteboarding to shipping polished, scalable solutions that balance user needs with technical constraints.
  • Anchor your decisions in data, analyzing usage metrics and defining success measures alongside Product Management and Engineering partners to ensure our work moves the needle.
  • Evolve our Design System, identifying new pattern opportunities and ensuring visual and interaction consistency across the entire platform.
  • Leverage modern AI tools (like Cursor, Lovable, or Claude) to accelerate your workflow, from brainstorming concepts to conveying complex implementation details to engineers.
  • Champion a culture of craft, presenting your work confidently in critiques and sharing new methodologies to help elevate the team’s overall design process.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product design experience with a portfolio of multiple shipped products, ideally within a SaaS or B2B startup environment.
  • An ownership mindset, with the self-directed ability to identify problems, find solutions, and deliver reliably without needing a defined roadmap.
  • Active fluency with AI tools in your current design process; you are already hands-on with tools like Cursor, Lovable, Claude, or Figma AI to push the boundaries of your craft.
  • Strong systems-level thinking, demonstrating an ability to contribute to design systems while considering platform-wide consistency and compliance.
  • A data-informed approach to design, proactively using product analytics and customer interviews to translate complex data into actionable, measurable outcomes.
  • High-fidelity craft and prototyping skills, with a portfolio that showcases exceptional visual and interaction design alongside deep customer-focused thinking.
  • Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to articulate design rationale clearly, build consensus across functions, and anticipate feedback from senior leadership.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, thriving in a fast-paced, iterative environment where the stakes are high and the pace is rapid.
  • A deep understanding of the competitive landscape, using market insights to inform product strategy and ensure ActiveCampaign remains a leader in the space.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive Health & Wellness: Top-tier benefits package that includes a fully-covered High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), complimentary access to telehealth services, and a free subscription to Calm.
  • Growth & Development: Access to LinkedIn Learning, professional development programs, and career growth opportunities in a fast-growing organization.
  • Generous Paid Time Off: Recharge and take the time you need to maintain work-life balance with open PTO.
  • Total Rewards: Generous 401(k) matching with immediate vesting, quarterly perks with commuter and lunch benefits for hub based employees or a stipend for remote workers, and a four-week paid sabbatical with bonus after five years.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work alongside brilliant, passionate colleagues in an environment that values innovation, teamwork, and mutual support.
