About the role
- Manager of Accounting responsible for leading the Accounting team in a sports nutrition company. Overseeing financial stability and compliance in a dynamic market.
Responsibilities
- You will take on the professional and disciplinary leadership of the accounting team and ensure efficient collaboration and the development of employees
- You will be responsible for proper accounting in accordance with HGB as well as the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns across multiple countries
- You will handle the monthly reporting under US GAAP for our parent company and ensure compliance with SOX controls
- You will manage liquidity planning and payment transactions
- You will be responsible for organizing and executing monthly payroll and payments in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Requirements
- You have a degree in business administration or a commercial apprenticeship, plus a further qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance-sheet accountant), and bring solid professional experience in international accounting, tax law and bookkeeping
- You have prior experience as a team lead in an accounting environment or are looking to take the next step into a leadership role
- Deep understanding of ERP systems (Infor preferred), ideally with Key User experience in an ERP implementation project
- You work independently, are proactive and solution- and goal-oriented
- You have business-fluent German and a good command of English
