Responsibilities
Independently perform structural calculations for piping and equipment supports (SIA, Eurocode)
Develop detailed engineering solutions
Model load-bearing structures in 3D
Piping structural analysis and design (EN, ASME)
Design special pipe supports using FEM
Improve processes and procedures
Act as technical contact for junior colleagues, including quality assurance
Technical coordination within projects
Contribute to the preparation of tender documents, project cost estimates and inspections/approvals
Deputize for the department head
Requirements
Degree (Dipl.-Ing., Bachelor or Master) in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in steel structure design projects
Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical or biotech industries is an advantage
Understanding of force flows and structural behavior
Familiarity with structural analysis software is an advantage, ideally Dlubal RFEM and Rohr2
CAD skills and BIM experience are advantageous, e.g. Tekla Structures, Tricad MS, E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit
Fluent German and English, spoken and written
