Responsibilities
Conduct price negotiations, contract discussions and delivery schedule agreements with suppliers
Oversee procurement of materials across all parts groups and ensure optimal inventory levels
Review and approve purchase orders and manage supplier communications, including supplier evaluation and selection
Lead a team of up to 10 buyers and procurement clerks
Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment
Drive continuous improvement through regular performance reviews and market analyses
Conduct annual negotiations with key suppliers to secure favorable terms
Ensure long-term, sustainable supplier relationships and monitor market trends regarding price developments and product innovations
Provide strategic input on inventory management, product substitution and clearance strategies
Requirements
At least 5 years of proven experience in procurement
Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
Proven experience procuring electronic components
Degree or equivalent qualification in business administration, electronics or a related field
Strong affinity for technical processes and products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
Strategic thinker with strong planning and organizational skills
Flexible and willing to travel for business, approximately 10% travel requirement
