Responsibilities
- We are seeking candidates with hands-on GDPR experience, including DSARs, DPIAs and privacy compliance, for roles with leading law firms and in-house teams

Requirements
- A law degree or equivalent (LLB, GDL or SQE1) is beneficial and may open up additional opportunities, as some clients require a level of prior legal training
- At least 3 months’ hands-on experience in a paralegal role involving GDPR and data protection work
- This experience should include exposure to some or all of the following typical GDPR paralegal tasks : Supporting responses to Data Subject Access Requests and other Data Subject Rights Requests , including document review, redaction and deadline tracking
- Assisting with data protection compliance matters and maintaining GDPR documentation, including records of processing activities and records management
- Conducting data mapping and helping identify personal data across systems
- Supporting the review, drafting or updating privacy notices, policies and procedures
- Assisting with data breach management , including fact-finding, documentation and regulatory reporting support
- Supporting or assisting with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) , including information gathering, risk identification and documenting mitigation measures
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, IT teams or external counsel on GDPR and privacy-related queries
- Carrying out privacy-focused legal research relating to the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
- Highly organised with strong time-management skills
- Ability to conduct legal research and organise data and information efficiently
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
