Application Engineer providing customer support and process solutions for Canon's semiconductor products. Optimizing and tracking semiconductor lithography processes and equipment in the field while collaborating with customers and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Optimize and track both semiconductor lithography process and equipment in the field
Respond to issues in the field regarding equipment or customer processes
Analyze data, identify causes and provide solutions with other application engineers as well as the field service team
Discuss and negotiate with customers about semiconductor product specifications and testing implementation and methods
Work with customers to improve products performance using analytical and problem solving skills
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required plus 3-5 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in the field
Bilingual communication skills (Japanese/English) are a plus
Experience with semiconductor processes especially lithography systems.
Experience with related semiconductor equipment such as SEM’s or metrology systems.
Solid understanding in data structures and data analysis.
Strong problem-solving experiences and skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Overnight travel required.
A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record is necessary.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Persistent attention to detail.
Knowledge of semiconductor automation system in SEMI SECS/GEM a plus.
Computer Linux, UNIX and scripting languages such as SQL a plus.
Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds individually and for lifting over 50 pounds assistance may be available.
