About the role

- Transition algorithms from research prototypes to production environments with a strong emphasis on code quality: clean design, testing, documentation, reproducibility and performance.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of hands-on experience in software engineering applied to Earth observation or scientific data processing.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining processing pipelines for satellite imagery.
- Experience in physical modeling, such as radiative transfer models or geometric corrections, is highly valued.
- Continuous learning mindset and a passion for pushing boundaries.
- Proficiency in English.
- Good communication skills, open-mindedness and team spirit.
- Proficiency in Python or Rust and strong programming best practices.
- Understanding of geometric correction principles (orthorectification, co-registration) and radiometric calibration.
- Strong analytical skills for implementing inversion algorithms and managing uncertainty metrics.
- Experience handling Earth observation data formats (e.g., NetCDF, GeoTIFF) and coordinate reference systems.
