About the role

  • Research Fellow leading Indigenous Australians and Forests theme at Centre for Climate-Smart Forestry. Collaborating with Traditional Owner groups and advancing research with Indigenous knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Indigenous Australians and Forests theme within the CCSF
  • Develop and implement the Indigenous Australians and Forests theme
  • Forge and sustain respectful relationships with Traditional Owner groups
  • Create pathways and training for Indigenous participation in research
  • Lead co-funded and co-designed proposal development

Requirements

  • You hold a PhD in Forest Science, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
  • You possess a strong publication record and experience delivering research that impacts policy or practice
  • Proven experience building respectful partnerships with Indigenous communities
  • Experience in applying culturally safe, Two Worlds approaches
  • Skilled in designing grant proposals and managing funded projects
  • Proven experience working with Indigenous communities
