About the role
- Guidewire Developer working with PolicyCenter and BillingCenter for enhancement and issue prevention. Involves development, testing support, and presentations to the team and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Work on sprint stories in 2-week Agile sprints
- Develop using Gosu and Studio
- Perform coding tasks including batches, UI changes, and APIs
- Support testing stories and participate in code reviews
- Present completed stories during sprint reviews and to stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience in a production environment
- Willingness to be on call and triage tickets
- Understanding of Agile team concepts
- Experience with Guidewire, particularly PolicyCenter and BillingCenter
- Extensive experience with Java, Javascript, SQL, Gosu, IntelliJ, and Studio
- Ability to use Mulesoft to build APIs
- Experience with React or Node.js for digital apps
- Understanding of web services (SOAP, REST) and Postman
- Comfortable with public speaking and presentations
- Capability to clarify and explain complex technical concepts
