About the role

  • AVP, New Talent Strategies at Duke University Health System leading talent acquisition strategies and building partnerships across the organization. Focused on hiring top talent in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the highly critical recruitment function across Duke University Health System, designed to strategically attract, hire, and retain top talent.
  • Develop, drive, and execute on talent acquisition strategies across all of DUHS.
  • Serve as the primary advisor to senior leadership on talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Build high-trust partnerships with management and internal customers.
  • Partner, onboard, and assimilate new hires.
  • Develop key strategies to retain key talent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or other related discipline required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years’ experience in talent acquisition and/or human resources roles at a high-growth, high-volume organization, with five of those in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving business goals and delivering a best-in-class hiring experience for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Strategic, high-energy leader with high emotional intelligence and deep experience managing a large and diverse recruitment team.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
