About the role
- VP of Enterprise Data Platform responsible for cloud roadmap and data strategies for Highmark Health. Collaborating with senior leaders to enhance data operations across enterprise platforms.
Responsibilities
- Own the platform strategy for the core portfolio of enterprise data platforms
- Ensure the smooth delivery of data operations and consistent improvement of processes and methodologies to store and maintain data
- Maximize the deployment of short-and-long-term technological innovations, specifically cloud technologies
- Interact with and influence senior leaders in the company, up to and including the Chief Operating Officer and business unit CEOs
- Perform management responsibilities including hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity
- Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations of the department
- Develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority
- Own the development and deployment of the Enterprise Data Platform cloud roadmap
- Deliver flexible, high-quality platform infrastructure and operational solutions that adhere to privacy policies, mandates and regulations
Requirements
- 7 years of management or leadership role
- 7 years leading data engagements directly with internal and commercial clients
- Experience managing complex initiatives in the consulting, healthcare, or insurance industry
- Track record of driving transformational change, leading teams, developing talent, and building relationships
- Experience running profit and loss center
- Understanding of Agile Development techniques and tools
- Experience in massively scaled consumer-centric data ecosystem
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM field or 13+ years of highly relevant leadership experience in large enterprises could be substituted for Master's Degree
- Hyperscaler certifications Google, Microsoft, or AWS
- Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Preferred Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
