About the role
- Underwriting Associate supporting corporate insurance operations with Engineering and Construction projects in Milan. Collaborating with local underwriters and EMEA Operations teams for successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate information in systems and tools, including documents and process changes for E&S specific projects
- Review and collect insurance and legal documentation and reflect corresponding terms and conditions into systems
- Follow-up on outstanding documents or items according to established guidelines
- Engage regularly with external customers including brokers and insureds
- Prepare and process policies, certificates and all other contractual documentation
- Collaborate on the development of Standard Operating Procedures and system improvements
- Coordinate with team members across different locations
- Support the preparation of international program structures in collaboration with Underwriting Analysts and underwriters
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant corporate insurance experience in Engineering and Construction Line of Business – familiarity with EPC/FIDIC contracts, project schedule and construction site documentation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Italian and English
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
