About the role
- Senior Software Engineer (Typescript) developing innovative digital products for hospitality businesses in Cape Town. Complex project involvement across various technology stacks with opportunities for international collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Assist in revamping the Commerce Engine
- Drive client’s growth
- Collaborate with the UK branch to improve mobile apps and other projects
- Work on all aspects of the technology stack including APIs, databases, deployments, services, and customer-facing front-ends
- Travel and work on-site with clients in South Africa, the UK, Italy, The Netherlands and other destinations to see how well systems perform in the real-world context
Requirements
- Strong full-stack development experience using TypeScript and Node.js
- Good Angular and/or React skillset
- Experience designing, implementing and running large web applications
- Experience with SQL databases
- Familiarity with microservices and a DevOps culture
- Appreciation for automated testing, CI and CD
- Bonus: Experience with iOS or Android and React Native
