About the role
- Senior Frontend Engineer leading the development of complex React applications at Guidewire. Collaborating with teams and ensuring high-performance user experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of complex features within our React and TypeScript single-page application
- Author clean, maintainable, and accessible UI components backed by rigorous testing
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate wireframes and requirements into polished, functional interfaces
- Design and implement robust integrations with REST APIs and manage real-time data flows
- Contribute to high-level frontend architecture decisions and uphold coding standards
- Manage feature rollouts using feature flags and analytics instrumentation for CI/CD pipelines
- Identify and implement performance optimizations and scalability improvements
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience building, shipping, and maintaining large-scale SaaS or enterprise web applications
- Deep proficiency in React and TypeScript
- Experience with micro frontends is a plus
- Strong track record of writing comprehensive unit and integration tests
- Familiarity with AWS services (EKS, CloudFront, S3)
- Experience working in a 'T-shaped' capacity
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives from discovery to deployment
- The ability to clearly articulate technical trade-offs to stakeholders
