About the role

  • Generates new leads through outbound calls, emails, networking, and in-person meetings.\n• Builds and maintains strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to drive long-term business.\n• Utilizes CRM tools (e.g., IRIS CRM, Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage pipeline and client interactions.\n• Prepares proposals and performs sales presentations and product training at client locations.\n• Prepares client implementation documents and maintains client files.\n• Performs follow up with Merchant Services referrals from bank employees.\n• Provides telephone support and acts as primary customer service contact for Merchant Services customers for account inquiries, technical support, billing, and special requests.\n• Monitors portfolio reports (low volume, no activity, inventory record) and performs periodic portfolio reviews to identify revenue opportunities.\n• Acts as liaison to branch staff with qualifying Merchant services prospects and joins them in sales activities (call blocks, outbound visits, Bank huddles).\n• Performs pricing review of regional competitors, maintains prospect database and monthly sales reports.\n• Completes administrative tasks including required Bank Compliance Training and adheres to AML/CFT responsibilities.\n• Positively represents the Bank through ethical conduct and community involvement; fosters a respectful, inclusive workplace.\n• Performs duties in an office or home office environment; sits, walks, reaches, and may lift moderate weights.\n• Travels up to 75% including frequent trips to client locations, sales presentations, industry conferences, corporate events, and training sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; relevant field preferred (e.g., Business, Finance, or related).\n• Minimum 3–5 years of related experience in banking, merchant services sales, or relevant industry required.\n• Demonstrated ability to cross-sell and explain all products and services with confidence and authority.\n• Knowledge of commercial banking products and services as well as strong understanding of federal compliance regulations preferred.\n• Experience with CRM's and Payment Gateways preferred (e.g., IRIS CRM, Salesforce, HubSpot).\n• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.\n• Experience with digital onboarding tools or virtual sales platforms.\n• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.\n• Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.\n• Strong teamwork and relationship skills to lead collaborative efforts.\n• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.\n• Ability to take initiative and effect change through consensus building, negotiation, and conflict resolution.\n• Willingness to take on special projects and perform other duties as assigned.\n• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.\n• Ability to maintain authenticity and integrity in all professional interactions.\n• Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive while performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
