About the role
- Define and drive the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Take ownership of architectural decisions, overseeing implementation while ensuring maintainability, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Support the development team in delivering high-impact initiatives on time.

- Collaborate across 300+ engineers in software development, infrastructure, operations and security to deliver scalable, impactful solutions that shape the future of motor insurance.
- Contribute to Price Engineering team initiatives and drive technical decisions and delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience (Python knowledge preferred)
- 2+ years in a leadership role managing engineering teams
- Hands-on experience with cloud services and infrastructure, preferably AWS and DataBricks
- Ability to shape and adapt team processes and ways of working
- Proven ability to mentor engineers, provide technical guidance and foster decision-making
- Strong communication skills to engage with non-technical stakeholders and external partners
- Proven ability to lead initiatives from inception to successful delivery, translating business requirements into technical ones
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Domain-Driven Design and event-driven architectures
- Nice-to-have: Experience designing and implementing microservices within large-scale ecosystems
