Responsibilities
- Work closely with CTO on the tech/team strategy.
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of software/hardware engineers.
- Promote a healthy, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
- Drive architecture, design, and technical decisions.
- Ensure code quality, testing standards, and development best practices.
- Guide team through complex technical challenges and trade-offs.
- Oversee project planning, estimation, and execution to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, Design, DevOps).
- Track and report on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Implement and improve agile development processes and tools.
- Foster continuous improvement through retrospectives and metrics.
- Act as a technical liaison between engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
Requirements
- Proven track record in senior engineering leadership roles, managing multiple teams.
- Strong experience in people management, including setting goals, performance reviews, and mentorship.
- Strong practical experience with JavaScript and its ecosystem (TypeScript, ReactJs, Redux, Node.js) as well as understanding Postgresql, Redis, Kafka, Python, C++.
- Extensive technical background, including experience with high-load architectures and big data systems.
- Deep understanding of software architecture principles and ability to resolve architectural challenges.
- Experience establishing and optimizing SDLC processes to drive engineering efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate incidents and implement preventive solutions.
- Excellent conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills.
