About the role

  • Administer and track user licenses; automate portions of the license management process.
  • Govern system usage in compliance with the Agency and HHS IT and security policies.
  • Maintain user communications—announcing new features, planned downtimes, and updates.
  • Manage the system ticket queue and ensure timely resolution of user requests.
  • Support system integrations, updates, and security authorizations in coordination with IT teams.
  • Perform data analysis to track license utilization, system performance, and usage trends.
  • Maintain system documentation, configurations, and audit logs.
  • Collaborate with the Agency’s Tech leadership to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of system administration or IT operations experience
  • Familiarity with HHS-wide IT governance policies
  • Experience automating administrative processes (e.g., using scripts or workflow tools)
  • Demonstrated experience with license and access management tools
  • Strong understanding of system governance, configuration management, and IT security principles
  • Experience supporting system integrations, updates, and maintenance
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with an ability to translate technical information into clear user guidance.
  • Experience with GitHub Enterprise and workflow automation preferred.
