About the role
- Sponsored Research Analyst supporting faculty and staff in awards and contractual proposals. Assisting in reviews, approvals, and maintaining databases for accurate reporting.
Responsibilities
- Provides assistance to faculty and staff in preparing and routing proposals for contractual awards.
- Reviews and processes requests for extensions of contractual awards.
- Assists Senior Analysts in reviewing and processing standard contract award amendments.
- Interacts with sponsors, faculty and staff to resolve general matters regarding contractual awards.
- Reviews basic contract terms/conditions and seeks guidance from supervisors, as needed and applicable.
- Assists Senior Analysts in follow-up activities and related correspondence for pending contractual awards.
- Assists Senior Analyst in the preparation of Notice of Award Acceptance documents.
- Responds to sponsor, faculty or staff requests for additional information and/or clarification.
- Coordinates obtaining required approvals or certifications from the appropriate organizational committees such as the Institutional Review Board and the Institutional Animal Use and Care Committee.
- Maintains required records.
- Assists with updating data in the contracts database for accurate reporting.
- Assists in organizing and conducting educational seminars/workshops for faculty and staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business management, applied science or a related field
- Two years of related experience
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
