About the role
- Report to the Test Manager and participate in all testing phases within an agile team.
- Design, create, and execute tests to ensure product quality and functionality.
- Focus initially on manual testing with an aptitude for automation.
- Participate in Sprint planning and Example Mapping sessions and review use cases.
- Generate test plans, test cases, and support the development of test strategies.
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand system-level requirements and test coverage.
- Perform Functional and Non-Functional testing including Integration, Exploratory, API, Performance, and Regression testing.
- Onboard new manual software testers to the team.
- Analyze, communicate, and document Test Execution findings.
- Report product defects in Defect Tracking tool, conduct bug analysis, and assist verification of bug fixes.
- Work as part of a scrum team to contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies and productivity.
- Setup and configure Test Environments and platforms.
- Ensure consistent and audit standards are maintained.
- Complete tasks assigned by Senior Test Engineer or Test Manager and ensure schedules are met.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or similar.
- Experience of web-based and mobile applications testing.
- 2 years+ of experience with End-to-End testing, Test Planning, and Test Execution including Exploratory, UAT, and Regression testing.
- Experience using Test Case Management and Defect Tracking tools.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
- High level of attention to detail and strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates must have permanent residency in Ireland.
- ISTQB or equivalent certificate in Software Testing (nice to have).
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment (nice to have).
- Experience working within a CSV/CSA environment (nice to have).
- Experience performing Non-Functional and API testing (nice to have).
