About the role
- Design, build, optimize, and own platforms, frameworks, libraries, and services used by applications throughout Clari
- Participate in projects that identify and overcome friction points in development processes
- Shape the future of engineering by evangelizing best practices, establishing patterns, and improving standards
- Collaborate synchronously and asynchronously with team members across multiple time zones
- Partner with Architects, Product Development Teams, and Software Engineers to gather requirements and build scalable, distributed systems
- Lay foundations for next-generation services used by AI and product development teams
- Improve developer day-to-day experience and increase engineering velocity and cost-efficiency
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience building cloud-based enterprise applications or systems using Java
- Experience working with distributed systems and developing microservices
- Familiarity with stateful and stateless services using frameworks like Spring Boot through REST and gRPC APIs
- Familiarity with build tools (Bazel, Gradle, Maven), testing, static analysis, and reporting as it relates to pipeline automation
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, TeamCity, or similar
- Experience with IDEs such as IntelliJ or VS Code and tuning their configuration
- Comfortable navigating large monorepos and improving developer workflows
- Passion for leveraging metrics and data to solve problems and iterate quickly
- Experience working in a remote-first or distributed environment
- Must be based in Poland and able to be onsite in Kraków as needed
