About the role

  • Design and build backend services using Ruby on Rails with a focus on secure and scalable care delivery systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop features that improve internal operations and support our mission of accessible mental health care
  • Contribute to the design of data models that support evolving business and clinical use cases
  • Implement automated tests to ensure code reliability and system integrity
  • Help improve observability and monitoring to maintain system reliability at scale
  • Participate in code reviews and team discussions to support high engineering standards and shared practices
  • Debug and resolve issues efficiently, contributing to platform stability and maintainability

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and experience writing automated tests with RSpec
  • Experience designing and maintaining APIs (REST or GraphQL)
  • Familiarity with secure data handling practices in a healthcare or regulated environment
  • Comfortable working in Agile teams and navigating changing priorities
  • Bonus: experience with Docker and AWS
  • Bonus: experience in revenue or billing systems
