About the role
- Software Engineer II developing greenfield product features for Helpshift, focusing on frontend technologies like JavaScript, ReactJS, and NextJS.
Responsibilities
- Work with the rest of the team in developing greenfield product features that get delivered to internal users as well as Customers.
- Take ownership of the product feature and be responsible for its quality.
- Write clean code with appropriate test coverage.
- Review other people's code and ensure that it is up to company standards.
- Design and develop features that are secure and scalable by design.
- Display strong work ethics. Be a team player with a strong sense of ownership and collaboration.
- Keep calm and learn everyday.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in writing client-side JavaScript.
- Proficient understanding of modern web tech stack, including HTML5, CSS3, and ES6.
- Good understanding of ReactJS and NextJS.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Knowledge of frontend optimisation techniques and tools (eg. Lighthouse, Cyprus).Proficient with BitBucket.
- Experienced in writing Unit, Functional & Regression tests.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
- Experience in working with Large frontend applications
- Handy with the shell and automation tools.
