Junior Software Engineer assisting in the development of web and mobile solutions at Coded Lines. Collaborating with development teams and enhancing code quality within a hybrid work environment.
About the role
- Develop, maintain, and enhance our web services using PHP (Symfony, Laravel and a legacy framework) and Vue.js.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, testable and scalable code following best practices.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build features and improve performance.
- Optimize and scale our services, ensuring they are secure and efficient.
- Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and technical discussions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the technical direction of our platform.
- Work with Kubernetes to manage deployments and containerized services.
- Work on scalable backend services, frontend interfaces, and integrations that power our solutions-driven manufacturing platform.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with PHP and modern frameworks (Symfony preferred, Laravel is a plus).
- Proficiency in Vue.js and modern frontend development practices.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, database design (SQL), and backend optimizations.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and cloud-based deployments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with Kubernetes or containerization technologies (Docker, Helm) is a plus.
