About the role

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using .NET (C#) and React.js
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication between front-end, back-end, and third-party systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements, define project scope, and translate business needs into functional solutions
- Enhance and support existing applications, ensuring high availability, reliability, and maintainability
- Participate in the deployment and integration of third-party/commercial software, ensuring system compatibility
- Assist senior developers and technical leads with architecture decisions, development tasks, and best practices.
- Help with troubleshooting and optimizing applications supported by the Information Services Department
- Evaluate hardware and software products for potential acquisition by Rochester Regional Health
- Document system architecture, workflows, and technical decisions
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts including DevOps, CI/CD, and code quality initiatives
- Maintain a basic understanding of AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms to support hybrid/cloud-native development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study Plus 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Associate's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study Plus 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in .NET (C#), React.js, and RESTful API development.
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts, especially in AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to both development and DevOps initiatives.
