About the role

  • Creative use of LLM capabilities for science journalism tasks
  • On-the-job familiarization with supporting libraries and frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph
  • Design and development of monitoring and filtering applications for science journalism
  • Evaluation of developed systems in collaboration with science journalists
  • Knowledge transfer into journalism, including participation in conferences

Requirements

  • University degree in computer science or another discipline with a focus on mathematics, data science, or technology
  • Initial experience with programmatic use of language models desirable
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience developing APIs; ideally initial experience developing MCP servers
  • German language skills: at least B2 level, as we work to strengthen journalism in the German-speaking region and you will actively participate in our internal conferences.
