About the role

• Design and implement a full suite React Native UI for a new Banking Service at Solance. Collaborate with a team that values innovative solutions in the financial service sector.

Responsibilities

• UI & UX Design: Develop and oversee the Customer channel and Internal Team UIs and UX, collaborate with the Tech team on architecture of our tech solutions, ensuring delightful UIs, scalability, security, and performance
• Engineer mentorship: Coach engineering team members (full stack and junior team members) on UX principles, providing guidance on best practices and engineering processes to introduce and maintain highest standards
• Code & framework development: This is an individual contributor role so coding and actively contributing to the development of core features and functionality will be the main part of the role
• Collaboration across the business: Work closely with business SMEs, UX & Product Design and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of technology with the business objectives and help translate that into efficient solutions for the Full stack engineers to implement
• Quality Assurance: Establish a robust UI testing practice across channels and ensure adherence to coding standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Technology Research: Stay ahead of the curve by researching new technologies and recommending solutions that can enhance our offerings.
• Compliance and Security: Work with compliance and risk team members to implement security measures that safeguard sensitive financial data across all our UIs

Requirements

• 5+ years deep experience in agile software design & development for Mobile & Web with React Native core and other libraries for multi-channel deployment (iOS, Android & Web)
• Ideally 5+ years' experience in some or all: Banking, payments processing, KYC, AML, Customer onboarding, UX, Data analytics
• Significant experience in multiple UI technologies and frameworks, MFA implementation, SSO, Offline first, local storage, deep linking & Notifications cross channel
• Strong experience in converting Figma's into pixel perfect implementations  **Extensive experience in UI code deployment, release, testing, observability, user behaviour tracking and analysis and alerting principles and standards preferred
• Familiarity with accessibility, internationalisation, scalability, reusability and atomic design
• Proven ability to work within a small, agile team where requirements are defined by the team rather than through a larger corporate type of process, you’re part Business analyst, part Scrum Master as well as a top-notch engineer!
• A proven track record in prioritising automation for velocity and quality as an investment in the business
• Extensive experience in creating standards and mentoring of Software engineers in UI design, implementation, testing, automation, code quality and cyber security
• Significant experience in converting business requirements into tech requirements with close business collaboration
• Some experience in architecture, mentoring of Full Stack Engineers and build DevOps/SRE automation for UI deployments
• Strong experience in assessing and implementing improved development tooling and practices including proven AI Tooling
• Experience in both UI development and visual design is a big plus; we're looking for someone who can also be the visual ambassador of Solance.
