Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret current tax legislation, identifying impacts and opportunities for the company.
- Prepare, review and ensure the accuracy of filings, including direct and indirect taxes.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax burden.
- Stay up to date on changes in tax legislation and communicate them to the team and other departments.
- Collaborate with other areas of the company, such as accounting and finance, to ensure integration and consistency of tax information.
- Coordinate with the finance department all tax withholdings and correct payments.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting with an active CRC (Regional Accounting Council) or Law with OAB (Brazilian Bar Association).
- Experience in the tax area.
- Knowledge of Brazilian tax legislation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Fluency in English is a plus.
