About the role

  • Senior Systems Engineer supporting Air Force simulation and training environments. Enhancing training capabilities and improving cybersecurity for mission success.

Responsibilities

  • support the Simulator Common Architecture Requirements and Standards (SCARS) Team
  • play a pivotal role in improving cybersecurity and promoting greater standardization of simulator components
  • leverage a modular open systems architecture
  • work closely with cross-functional teams to transform operational challenges into effective technical solutions
  • utilize proficiency in data analysis, optimization, and high-performance computing to drive innovation and advance mission capabilities

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Department of Defense simulation and training environments
  • Experience in applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF), implementing DoD security controls, and supporting system accreditation
  • Knowledge of High-Level Architecture, Distributed Interactive Simulation, and Open Mission Systems standards
  • Ability to architect, integrate, and manage complex systems across distributed simulation environments
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback on SCARS standards
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science Field
  • IAT Level II Certification
