About the role

  • Build and maintain the SABRE2 platform for developing and deploying applications in the Cloud
  • Train other teams to run their products on the Platform and act as a technical consultant and advocate for SABRE2
  • Participate in open-source product evaluation, analysis and configuration to meet Sabre requirements
  • Use Agile practices to deliver reactive, scalable and reliable solutions
  • Apply fundamental engineering skills to solve difficult assignments and enable continuous delivery in a monorepo environment
  • Promote reuse of libraries, services and deployment patterns and enable global collaboration and mentorship

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of related experience
  • Proven experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes / GKE
  • Experience with scripting (Bash)
  • Familiarity with Cloud Native Applications design patterns and best practices
  • Experience in Continuous Integration (e.g. Maven) and Continuous Delivery (e.g. GitHub Actions/ Pipelines)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus / Grafana stack
  • Experience in Agile and DevOps culture
  • Good English communication skills
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail, team player, excellent problem-solving skills, strong work ethic
  • (Optional) Experience with IaaS/SaaS platforms: Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure
  • (Optional) Experience with Python or Go
  • (Optional) Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)
  • (Optional) Experience developing Kubernetes Operators (K8S APIs, CRDs)
  • (Optional) Experience exposing and consuming REST and gRPC services
  • (Optional) Contribution to open source projects
  • (Optional) Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
