About the role
- Conduct advanced research in AI and machine learning; stay up to date with latest advancements and explore emerging technologies.
- Design and architect AI/ML solutions for complex problems, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, review code and designs.
- Participate in technical discussions and provide thought leadership; work closely with stakeholders (product managers, data scientists, business analysts) to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful AI/ML project implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in AI and machine learning practices; evaluate and integrate third-party tools or services.
- Facilitate design review sessions and mentor during reviews; collaborate with engineering manager and team lead on design/implementation strategies.
- Prepare and deliver detailed presentations and reports to stakeholders; translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- May interpret and report data findings and maintain/update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods.
- May be involved in design and development of solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues, or network concerns where applicable to the role.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or closely related quantitative discipline (Master’s degree desirable).
- Typically, 4-7 years’ experience (minimum 4 years).
- Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms (linear regression, decision trees, support vector machines, random forests, deep learning models, reinforcement learning).
- Proficient in model selection, hyperparameter tuning, and evaluating model performance using appropriate metrics.
- Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics (linear algebra, calculus, probability theory, statistical concepts).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Experience developing production-level code and familiarity with software engineering best practices and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of libraries/frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, sci-kit, and Keras.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in deep learning (CNNs, RNNs, transformers), transfer learning, generative models, and optimization algorithms.
- Proficiency in using agentic frameworks like langGraph or similar frameworks.
- Knowledgeable in lineage tracking of agentic architectures (e.g., langfuse, langsmith).
- Knowledge of evaluation of traditional AI/ML and Gen-AI based applications during development and in production.
- Experience conducting research and staying updated with latest AI/ML advancements.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members; excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
