About the role
- Maintain and optimize RHEL and Windows Server infrastructure
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash and PowerShell
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools
- Support and administer IBM WebSphere Application Server environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Linux and Windows platforms
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews
- Document operational procedures and system configurations
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with RHEL (7/8/9) and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
- Proficiency in Bash and PowerShell scripting
- Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (installation, configuration, tuning)
- Exposure to JBoss Application Server environments
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, Splunk, Grafana, Datadog)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls
- Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and tools
- Preferred: Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
- Preferred: Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Preferred: Exposure to ITIL practices and enterprise change management processes
- Soft skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; effective communication and teamwork; self-motivated; open-minded and adaptable
