About the role
- Design, automate, and execute advanced test strategies to guarantee flawless functionality and an exceptional user experience across software products.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other SDETs to translate requirements into comprehensive black-box test plans.
- Design and develop intricate test cases leveraging advanced black-box testing techniques.
- Craft robust test automation frameworks utilizing tools such as Selenium and Cypress to achieve high test coverage and efficiency.
- Champion exploratory testing to uncover unexpected behavior and edge cases.
- Leverage performance testing tools and techniques to identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks.
- Analyze test results, diagnose defects, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Advocate for best practices in black-box testing and contribute to continuous improvement of the QA process.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on black-box testing methodologies.
- Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in the testing domain.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an SDET with a proven track record of success in black-box testing.
- In-depth understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Javascript) and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Mastery of test automation frameworks and experience with performance testing tools.
- Experience with UI automation tools like Selenium or Cypress.
- Experience with API testing is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
