About the role
- Define, implement, and own QA strategy for automation, integration, and E2E testing.
- Lead the design and development of robust, scalable automated test frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and product stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded into design and development.
- Ensure integration coverage across systems, services, and third-party APIs.
- Mentor and guide intermediate/junior QA engineers in technical and process best practices.
- Conduct code reviews of test automation scripts and frameworks.
- Analyze production incidents and contribute to root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Define and monitor quality KPIs (test coverage, defect leakage, automation effectiveness).
- Contribute to performance, scalability, and security testing when relevant.
Requirements
- 5+ years of QA experience, with a strong background in test automation and QA leadership.
- Expertise in automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of API testing (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and integration testing.
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent).
- Experience with containerization and cloud-based testing (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure).
- Solid understanding of software architecture and microservices testing strategies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor others.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on risk-based testing and business impact.
- Familiarity with performance, load, and security testing tools is a plus.
