About the role
- Product Manager leading fraud detection and customer vetting initiatives for Vonage's communication APIs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security and compliance capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the fraud protection roadmap for both customer facing and internal anti-fraud systems.
- Own and maintain the product roadmap in collaboration with other Product Managers delivering solutions to protect against Voice robocalling, messaging compliance, customer risk profiling and vetting.
- Research and analyse new threats and propose countermeasures to identify and mitigate emerging fraud tactics, techniques and procedures.
- Manage and maintain a product backlog and create user stories and product requirements for fraud engineering teams
Requirements
- Previous experience of agile development methodologies and product management frameworks
- Strong knowledge in data protection and compliance, security-oriented cloud services, fraud vector analytics, and threat detection and prevention
- Proven experience working as a business subject matter expert or in a technical capacity within fraud management or security
- Minimum 3 years experience of managing products in highly regulated industries
- Experience in telco, cloud or finance industries preferred
- Computer Science degree or similar technical qualification in engineering, finance, business administration or related field
- Prior experience in telecoms or finance fraud management
- Strong understanding of telecoms and web protocols (SIP, SMPP, HTTP, REST APIs)
- Professional certifications in fraud management, security or compliance
- Experience with Agile methodologies & tools (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience using Jira, Confluence and project management tools
- Familiarity working with data in formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, etc.
