About the role

  • Payment Resiliency Product Manager ensuring reliability and performance of payment systems for Disney Streaming. Leading operational excellence and incident management for global payment performance across markets.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze global payment performance across processors (e.g., Adyen, WorldPay, Fiserv) and alternative payment methods (e.g., PayPal, Apple Pay, PIX, etc.)
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and implement observability tools, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms.
  • Lead the triage and resolution of payment incidents, coordinating with engineering, product, and external partners to ensure rapid mitigation and root cause analysis.
  • Continuously improve the Payments Product team's operational excellence metrics, specifically focusing on reducing the mean time to detect and resolve payments incidents and issues.
  • Serve as the operational authority on payment flows, authorization logic, 3DS2, retries, and fallback strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with PSPs and APM providers, ensuring SLAs are met and issues are escalated appropriately.
  • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and playbooks for operational processes and incident response.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in payment operations or payment systems, ideally in a high-volume, global B2C environment.
  • Subscription experience is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of global payment processing, including card networks, APMs, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., PSD2).
  • Hands-on experience with payment service providers such as Adyen, WorldPay, Fiserv, and APMs such as PayPal, Apple Pay / Google Pay, and PIX.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; familiarity with tools like Datadog, Looker, or SQL-based dashboards.
  • SQL proficiency preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability of collaborating with a diverse set of partners and experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree
