About the role

• Product Engineer at Our Place managing product lifecycle for small home appliances. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, performance, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Drive product development from concept through launch for small home appliances and kitchenware.
• Partner with design and sourcing teams to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Review and validate engineering specifications, CAD drawings, and material selections.
• Support the DFM process and collaborate with overseas manufacturing partners.
• Oversee product testing, validation, and claims verification.
• Manage documentation, reports, and technical communication across global teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in product engineering for small home appliances, preferably kitchenware.
• Strong knowledge of product development, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in English with strong written and spoken Chinese.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Based in Los Angeles with willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
