About the role
- Senior PHP Developer for SOWHAT! GmbH focusing on B2B and B2C e-commerce solutions. Collaborating with project managers and teams to enhance existing web projects and systems.
Responsibilities
- You develop B2B and B2C shops as well as interfaces to external systems such as ERP (inventory/enterprise resource planning) or a Customer Data Platform (CDP)
- You support and advise our project managers on new development and further development of existing e‑commerce and web projects
- Analyze existing systems and identify opportunities for optimization
- Perform deployments, code reviews and other quality assurance measures
- Work closely with your backend and frontend colleagues as well as project managers
- Actively contribute to shaping and improving our development processes and standards
- Participate in technical meetings and training for continuous professional development
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in OOP with PHP/Symfony and in implementing web or e‑commerce projects
- Solid experience working with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Ideally experience with frameworks such as Symfony, ZEND or the Shopware ecosystem
- Familiarity with agile development methods (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Team player with strong communication skills
